Oh for crying out loud!

Thanks to people like Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd the economy is tanking, millions are out of work (by Nancy Pelosi's count about 750 Million Americans have lost their job so far), 12 percent of mortgages are in fault, Obama can't find more than a dozen volunteers who've paid their taxes to fill his cabinet, and Joe Biden can't find the area code for the internet. The world is laughing at us, at least our former enemies are, our former allies are angry at our administration's arrogance. And what is Obama's 'dream team' most worried about?

Yeah - while Rome burns Obama is fiddling around with Us Weekly. Why would the president of the United States care about Jessica Simpson's weight? And why oh why is he even bothering about Rush Limbaugh? I'm no fan of Obama - I don't what to see his policies fail any worse than they are going to - but holy smokes, Barry: Shut the frell UP!

Face it Barry - Rush gave a stirring speech last weekend, much better than anything you've done in months, and the harping and whining of your people is just giving him more and more credence! They sound like those pathetic airhead morons on The View who squeal and shriek when ever someone says something they don't understand or aren't personally intelligent enough to agree with.

Just shut up and give me back my 401K

Mmmmmm... Gizzards!

2 Geeky 4 U

Four monitors! I finally put some of my collected computer junk together and came up with a working system that has 4 monitors.

It's very simple - 1 for email, 1 for browsing, 1 for twitter/IM & gadgets, 1 for watching Anime. Very simple

Am I John Gault?

What happens when Atlas Shrugs?

I for one shrug back, but I don't have the world on my shoulders... maybe a county or two, but not the whole world. I have yet to read Atlas Shrugs, I suppose I should, maybe I'll grab a copy tomorrow. Atlas Shrugged is a big topic of conversation now, as is Animal Farm and 1984, to many people the predictions in these books appear to be coming true.

That is why I chose to stand tall and say "Not in MY America"

Awesomness is its own reward

I'm awesome. There's no getting around it.

And the best part about being awesome is being able to run around and say "I'm awesome. There's no getting around it" I may sue the writers of 'Chuck' for stealing my identity.

However one of the bummer parts of being awesome is having to look down on those that aren't so awesome in pity and watch as they self destruct; crashing into the rocks on the shores of life because of unawesome navigation on their part.

I have a co worker who is completely and totally unawesome and this is my rant for the day

Oh well. 24 hours to the National Tea Party!

Sing along with Arlo Guthry!

Oh the price of gold is rising out of sight
And the dollar is in sorry shape tonight
What the dollar used to get us now won’t buy a head of lettuce
No the economic forecast isn’t right
But amidst the clouds I spot a shining ray
I can even glimpse a new and better way
And I’ve devised a plan of action worked it down to the last fraction
And I’m going into action here today

I am changing my name to Fannie Mae
I am going down to Washington D.C.
I’ll be glad they got my back
‘Cause what they did for Freddie Mac
Will be perfectly acceptable to me
I am changing my name to Fannie Mae
I am headed for that great receiving line
So when they hand a trillion grand out
I’ll be standing with my hand out
I’ll get mine

When my creditors are screaming for their dough
I’ll be proud to tell them all where they can go
They won’t have to scream and holler
They’ll be paid to the last dollar
Where the endless streams of money seem to flow
I’ll be glad to tell them all what they can do
It’s a matter of a simple form or two
It’s not just remuneration it’s a liberal education
Ain’t you kind of glad that I’m in debt to you

Since the first amphibians crawled out of the slime (of the slime!)
We’ve been struggling in an unrelenting climb
We were hardly up and walking before money started talking
And it’s sad that failure is an awful crime
It’s been that way for a millennium or two
But now it seems that there’s a different point of view
If you’re a corporate titanic and your failure is gigantic
Down in Congress there’s a safety net for you

It's been a long arduous 2 months here at the all new salt mine. I haven't been able to update very often but I'm here now!

Can't see the mountains today

A cold wind off the high desert is sweeping towards the mountains and the lofty peaks are buried in cloud, even the low peaks of the front range are lost in the mists of swirling snow.

Hell cometh to Colorado, but recycling has yet to rear it's head

I gave up on learning Japanese

I gave up on learning Japanese, conversational Japanese is just too weird.
